Template talk:Flowers
What did this template look like before it's deleted? Because I think we should have a template that has the Fire Flower and its derivatives. Fire Flower, Ice Flower, Gold Flower, Boomerang Flower, Cloud Flower, Slow Flower, Speed Flower, Superball Flower, Copy Flower, Mix Flower, possibly Flower from Super Mario RPG, and possibly Bonus Flower). I might be missing, but that seems to be enough for a navigation template.

- All of that can fit into a category just fine. That is...unless there's a second type of flower you can fit in there (characters, species, etc).

I'm not seeing anything in here that isn't already in the flower category (and some of the recipes don't make sense to me).

- The nav's advantage over the category would be that it filters out things like Great Sunflower and Monster Flower. We can have a nav template strictly on those power up flowers. The problem with the flower template was that it's copied pasted from the category, but my proposed template specifically are those flowers. I mean, we have {{Mushrooms}} and {{Coins}}, why not another category on a common Mario item type, the flower?

- If they have eyes, they'd have to be sentient, since "sentient" means "capable of perception," which having functioning eyes would help facilitate. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:17, 7 February 2019 (EST)

Somewhat related, I don't think the recipes should qualify as flowers. There are some still in the category, but aside from being made from a Fire Flower, they certainly aren't flowers (Ice Storm, for example). If the template's getting remade, I don't think these should be a part of it. 19:01, 7 February 2019 (EST)
