What we have here is three separate species. The Spiked Fun Guy, who is considered to be Pokey in Japan, the Potted Spiked Fun Guy, and the "Spiked Rolling Kid." We can either split all three off, split just the Yoshi's Story one off, split just the Potted one off, split them all and merge the original with Pokey, or just leave it like it is.

As someone who isn't particularly familiar with ''Yoshi's Island'' games (and as someone who thinks that the article is rather lacking in information), could you tell me the difference between each enemy? {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 22:18, 29 August 2017 (EDT)
:Spiked Fun Guy (Yoshi's Island) is referred to as "Sanbo" (Cactus) in Japan. It's green, and has the same black-with white pupils eye designs that Pokeys often have. They're a typical spiked enemy in behavior. Potted ones are similar, but have a different name in all languages, and use their pots to hide in. The things from Yoshi's Story are not Pokeys at all, they look like Gummy Bear sea urchins with huge lips and dragon feet, and I think just sorta shuffle back and forth while facing the screen, like Goombas. I was going to say, why not turn this article into a disambiguation page, considering [http://i.imgur.com/ym4Tt43.png "Spiked Fun Guy"] has also referred to a [[Tap-Tap|third enemy]] in a [[Yoshi Touch & Go|''Yoshi'' game]]? Also to consider: while the [[Media:SMW2 Guide 128.jpg|Nintendo Power]] and [http://s746.photobucket.com/user/chabo_drums/media/20110616/20110616IMG_3150.jpg.html Kanpeki] guides list the potted variety separately, the [[Media:Advance 3 Shogakukan P16.png|Shogakukan]] guide doesn't, and it sort of seems like the difference between Seedy Sally/Short Fuse and Grinder/Ukiki. All right, since the article didn't have the information I was looking for, I checked my saved game for behavior differences (it helps that a quick search shows that Potted Spiked Fun Guys appear in the same stages, namely the beginning of World 3-5). In ''Yoshi's Island'', Spiked Fun Guys just hobble back and forth along the ground, bouncing back when they hit a wall. Instead of this simple movement, Potted Spiked Fun Guys stay in their pot and constantly jump in it, slowly moving towards Yoshi with each jump and occasionally performing a higher jump. A simple lick removes the Spiked Fun Guy from its pot, but it can also be popped with an egg or a seed, leaving behind the pot. The pot can then be swallowed for an egg or left behind, in which case another Spiked Fun Guy can hop in it if it comes across it. So, yes, their pattern completely changes in the pot, so I guess it could be seen as more akin to a Beach Koopa (which also isn't differentiated in Japanese material or games like ''Super Princess Peach'', but yeah) hopping into a shell. Meanwhile, the ''Yoshi's Story'' Spiked Fun Guys walk out of holes in the background, then after a moment of standing in place on a slope, proceed to roll down it; if between two slopes, they keep rolling back and forth until vanishing. Should this information linking Spiked Fun Guy and Needlenose be addressed in the proposal, or should it be saved for later since this has enough options as it is?
