:::I know we agreed that Mega Sledge Bro was just an erroneously designated Sledge Bro, but I don't see why that makes the name of the minigame itself bad. It's a perfectly usable in-game name, and keeping it is consistent with the rest of the wiki. Besides, it's not like we don't use the Mega Sledge Bro name elsewhere ([[Sledge Bro#Mario Party 10|Sledge Bro's Mario Party 10 history section]] consistently refers to it as Mega Sledge Bro), so I don't really see a reason to try to sweep it under the rug. (Honestly I couldn't help but think of the suggestion to use a foreign name for the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia's article just because we weren't using the English name as a source when I saw this. Gave me similar vibes.) --{{User:Waluigi Time/sig}} 19:20, November 29, 2021 (EST) | :::I know we agreed that Mega Sledge Bro was just an erroneously designated Sledge Bro, but I don't see why that makes the name of the minigame itself bad. ::::Unless you think that the wiki's general use of alternate British English names as secondary to American English in effect an act of "sweeping it under the rug" - no, this is absolutely not the intent at all. Completely disregarding the fact that the okay-to-cite Japanese version of ''Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia'' has "''ENCYCLOPEDIA SUPER MARIO BROS.''" in its big, bold, English-written cover (but I digress), we're talking about the same language here. Another example: [[Kamek#Mario Party 9|Kamek in ''Mario Party 9'']], which already opens with "Kamek (referred to as Magikoopa in the American localization)" by the way, not the other way around. It is generally well-understood that the British English version more clearly identifies it as the character, whereas the American English version uses the name more commonly attributed to the species. In such cases, British English over American English simply allows for better consistency. I wouldn't think the source priority exception proposal requires a regional equivalent, but if it is so needed, so be it.
