Lakitu?

I agree that the visible part of its head resembles a Lakitu due to its glasses, but I don't think that is enough to categorize it like an actual Lakitu. We don't know what the rest of their body looks like, it doesn't ride clouds, and their name makes no reference to Lakitu or Jugem. --Grandy02 12:15, 25 January 2010 (EST)

Roketon never ever made me think of Lakitus. Not even their head looks like a Lakitu's to me (different colour, etc.). The only similarity is that they wear the same goggles, which is likely due to the fact they're pilots and not because they're Lakitus. I looked at Lakitu artwork of the period. The skin color isn't an issue to me (Nokobons are also pale and at the time Lakitus tended to be a bit paler than other Koopas, not darker), and the very small nose is seen in the Mario Mania picture. However, the artwork lacks the hair and prominent cheeks seen in all Lakitu artwork (although not in sprites until SMW). They look more like Lakitus than anything else Mario, but they lack some features that became key. Sarisa 03:12, 27 May 2010 (EDT)
