==Parent and derivative species==

This honestly seems to be the true "base" Octo, due to the fact that both of the bosses take more after it than Octoomba, and that Octoomba's name seems to indicate that it's just a weaker, Goomba-like derivative of this. :::Kind of old, but I'd say that "OtaJack" is akin to the "kug" here: that is to say, Ota Jack would've likely had Ota Rock and Octoomba as its parent species, making Ota Rock and Octoomba sort of a degree away as relatives, if that makes sense.
