Potential for merging?[edit]

So since Cinema Ghost and Mirror Ghost are still merged to Grabbing Ghost, Dancing Ghost Guys are still merged to Ghost Guy, and the language-of-origin treats them as merely a color variation (which really, they are), would it be agreeable to merge this to Ceiling Surprise? They're not just "a color variation", the Ceiling Surprise does nothing other than pop out and the Purple Bomber, while it appears in the same manner, it drops a bomb unlike the Ceiling Surprise. The Grabbing Ghost variations don't act any different from the regular Grabbing Ghosts besides using a gimmick of the rooms they are found in, and Dancing Ghost Guys act like regular Ghost Guys once they are provoked. My point is that the other ghost types you mentioned are not different enough from what they are merged with, whereas this one does have a difference significant enough to be treated seperately. When the only difference is a separate object spawning near it, that's not much of a difference to the entity itself, though unlike many cases (such as with Troopas), there's a clear "basic" type here. Problem is, that can also be said with the grabbers, and I personally find "being invisible" to be a bigger functional difference than "a bomb appears near it." I'm inclined to agree with Doc because even The Gallery in the 3DS version describes the Purple Bomber as a "purple Ceiling Surprise" ("who drops bombs" but still). LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:09, November 25, 2020 (EST)
