Is there any way for us to record the results of each poll (first place option, second place, etc)? I think this is important information to include, though I could see how it could be a pain to figure out if the polls never truly close - I'm not the most well versed in this topic though. I'm sure the template can be tinkered with to display the amount of votes for each option from given date. The polls can be periodically archived with Wayback to track their results, and the most current snapshot of each can be cited here.
I'm a bit wary of doing that, though. These poll results can be considered a substantial side of the polling activities on the Play Nintendo website and an incentive for visitors of that website to engage with a poll, since the results are shown after casting a vote. You crib the results onto here, and potential visitors of Nintendo's site who browse this wiki may feel less motivated to visit the original polls, which means less traffic for Nintendo. I'm not saying this out of concern for the capital of the multi-billion-dollar corporation, infinitely worse things have happened to them and they still rank very high, I'm just a bit cautious that we show as much good faith as possible according to USA Fair Use law (gov.com), specifically factors 3 (how much you use from a copyrighted work) and 4 (how much you impact someone's market). I took some interest in how the content on this wiki plays into fair use relatively recently, so I'm already having second thoughts on the way I set up certain other Play Nintendo pages, which may demonstrate content such as downloadables that form the entire purpose of visiting a given page at Play Nintendo. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 17:18, December 7, 2024 (EST)

Well, if you use Wayback Machine, losing these things forever happens a lot less sooner (preferably never, but that's a really unrealistic prospect).
