What would the U.S. state of Kansas have to do with the Mario franchise? Not really much, you would think.
It's the same case with Asia and Europe (see relevant TPPs), except this isn't even on a continental or even national level; it's merely on the sub-national/territorial level. It nonetheless has similar (albeit less obvious) levels of needless broadness; the only actual appearance of the state is in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode Mush-Rumors, but only very briefly, making the location irrelevant as a whole (Norman's family hails from Wichita, which is already listed as an implied location). It's the same reason I didn't create an article on the state of Texas despite it being the very state visited during the plot in the Saturday Supercade episode Trucknapper Caper. As for the Leaping Lizards information, that can very easily fit into another section in the implied locations list for Topeka.
So yeah, I'm basically proposing that we just delete this entire article for redundancy purposes.

Delete[edit]
- Toadette the Achiever (talk) My preferred option by a long shot.
- Lord Grammaticus (talk) Per proposal.
- Alex95 (talk) -
Don't delete Kansas, my grandparents live there!Per proposal. It's just meant to be a passing glace in the cartoon, the focus is more on the family than their surroundings. And in the book, it's just a simple mention. Nothing worth keeping. - Obsessive Mario Fan (talk) This can easily be kept in the United States page. Per all.
- TheFlameChomp (talk) Per all.
- Power Flotzo (talk) Per all.
- Trig Jegman (talk) First we came for Florida. Now we take down Kansas. Who's next? (Per all)
- bwburke94 (talk) Per all. Not worth keeping.
Keep only the "Mush-Rumors" information[edit]
- Toadette the Achiever (talk) Second choice.
- FanOfYoshi (talk) I disagree with getting rid of the page entirely. There is some unique information in there not present in real life.
- WeirdDave13 (talk) Per FanOfYoshi
- JoeRunner (talk) Per FanOfYoshi.
- TheDarkStar (talk) - Per FOY.
Keep only the Leaping Lizards information[edit]
Keep both sections[edit]
Comments[edit]
After a few comments by Waluigi Time regarding a template being edited, I incidentally freshened up a bit on those talk page proposals, and I have to agree with the proposal's reasoning - very little (if any) of the actual state features in the episode, certainly not enough to sustain articles on their own. The most that could be done is creating a section for Kansas on the list of implied locations and redirecting this page to that section after importing the current info elsewhere, and even that's a bit of a stretch over separate sections on the same article for Topeka and Wichita. -- Lord G. matters. 14:09, October 28, 2019 (EDT)
The only reason I can think of for keeping this page is the fact that in Mush-Rumors Kansas briefly appears and there's a Warp Zone there, which is obviously an element of Kansas unique to the Mario series. That being said, I'm not really sure that's good enough for it to stay. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 16:21, October 28, 2019 (EDT)
- @Waluigi Time: It's not, and can be easily merged into the plot summary for Mush-Rumors. (T|C) 17:02, October 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Probably worth a note on the Warp Zone article and the appropriate 'implied locations' section at absolute most, and that's assuming the state itself gets one as opposed to just the two cities. -- Lord G. matters. 17:05, October 28, 2019 (EDT)
FYI: The Florida article was just recently deleted by Mario jc due to the fact that Miami is the only city visited in the franchise. In fact, literally the only real-world sub-national division (state/territory/province/whatever) that should still have its own article is Hawaii, since in Reign Storm it's not clear which Hawaiian island Peach and Toad take their leave-of-absence at.
