While our jar article covers a number of different independent subjects in the Super Mario franchise, it primarily covers the jars from Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic and Super Mario Bros. 2. This artilce is dedicated to the jars from Shy Guy Bazaar in Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Tour, a course... based directly on Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic and Super Mario Bros. 2. Because of the scope of our jar article and the unambiguous homage being made to the original games in Shy Guy Bazaar, I feel like it would be more accurate for these jars to be in the same article. They are supposed to be the same subject.

The jars that shimmies from side to side are a specific type of jar called a snake jar. I think it would be fine for it to have an article of its own, but I am not opposed to it being merged either along with the normal jar either.

To be honest, I've been thinking about a proposal for removing the snake jar information from the Cobrat page, because other than the SMB2 theming in Shy Guy Bazaar and it being snakes in jars (which is not even a Cobrat-exclusive thing, as it's based on a concept that is later referenced again in Serpont), it really has no business being on that page, IMO: the snakes don't look like Cobrats, the snake jars don't act like Cobrats in jars, and the jars themselves don't even look like the SMB2 jars (those are white and don't even have lids!); I really doubt these snakes were supposed to be Cobrats at all (and given there were actual Cobrat cameos on some of the tapestries in SGB, I'm pretty sure the devs were well aware of what Cobrats are supposed to look like: DS Desert Hills features an Angry Sun that looks and acts like an Angry Sun, too, for instance). But, since it would involve moving the information to this page, I think I'll wait on that until we have an outcome for this particular proposal. rend (talk) (edits) 11:00, February 5, 2025 (EST)
