Uneaten Golden Apple???[edit]

In this article there is an image of the Golden Apple before Peach eats it however I have been replaying Super Paper Mario and the Golden Apple never appears without a bite mark where Peach ate it. Is this an unused sprite? If so it should be put into trivia with a note about how this version is unused in the game files or is it a custom sprite that has gone unnoticed if so it should be deleted. I concur it definitely doesn't appear in normal gameplay, though I think before we assume it's fanmade we should find out if it is somewhere in the game's files. The Cutting Room Floor may be a good start. Mario jumping Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 17:31, March 19, 2023 (EDT)
I've never played this game, but the image appears to be edited. Using the magic wand on the sprite, it has some messy pixels on the right side mirroring the shine on the left side, not present in the other apples' sprites, which suggests some of the left side mirrored to patch up the bite, with the shine being painted out. Or maybe Nintendo was just a bit sloppy with this sprite, for all I know. Blinker (talk) 17:37, March 19, 2023 (EDT)

Okay I went to The Cutting Room Floor and it says nothing about this. I even checked all the chat pages. Also in the description for the uneaten golden apple image it claims it is edible in-game which it's not since Luvbi throws it off the clouds after Mario sees it. The original user that uploaded the image Luigimadness71 has been inactive since 2010 so I can't ask them. I checked the Spriters Resource and the Golden Apple is not anywhere on there without a bite mark. I'manumber1 (talk) 14:04, March 30, 2023 (EDT)

The bite mark sprite IS actually on the Spriters Resource, on this page specifically. So no, it's not a fanmade image, but since it seems to not be seen in-game, I'll assume it's unused.
