Dark Matter vs. Antimatter[edit]

Technically, Dark matter is an un-reactive material. Antimatter is the stuff that will blow up, destroy, demolish etc. matter. Should this be stated? Arceus79 00:40, 24 March 2012 (EDT)

I don't know of any instance where this can be really compared to what we know of in real life as "dark matter" in anything other than name. Bop1996 (Talk)

Trivia[edit]

Do we really need that trivia? This is about a substance in the Mario series that is totally different from the theoretical Dark Matter other than the name. It explains a little too much about the non-Mario type, which is not what the article is about. If it's going to be kept at all, it should at least be reworded.

I feel like just a wikipedia link on the name should be fine. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:30, 15 December 2016 (EST)

Where and how to draw the line between this and poison[edit]

Block Super Mario World.png This talk page or section has a conflict or question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

Both this and poison use the same texture, which is different between each game; in SMG1, it's "ZeldaMud" (probably due to being reused from The Wind Waker), while in SMG2, it's "Marsh00". As such, I think it needs clarified where the difference lies - does everything listed on this page use the same alternative death animation? Additionally, SMG1 dark matter had a really weird system graphically where part of it was transparent on the "near" end and let you see through to the opaque interior of the "far" end, giving an extra-dimensional look to it. check it out on noclip.website here, where moving the camera with the arrow or wasd keys into the purple block causes that solid purple texture to appear at all sides. Nothing anywhere else between either game does that. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 23:04, January 16, 2025 (EST)
