Where on planet earth did space junk platforms come from??? This page shouldn’t exsist, no, it should be merged with platforms [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 15:02, July 10, 2019 (EDT)
- I don't see why this can't be an article. This has enough information on its own. Furthermore, Platform and this are not even similar objects. Trig - 10:41, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
- If anything, this maybe could be moved to Fushigi Block. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 05:18, September 9, 2019 (EDT)
- Internally, these are aptly named "Assembly Blocks" - Super Mario Galaxy has the filenames AssemblyBlockPartsA, AssemblyBlockPartsB, AssemblyBlockPartsC, AssemblyBlockPartsD, AssemblyBlockPartsE, AssemblyBlockPartsIceB (A is missing), AssemblyBlockPartsIceC, AssemblyBlockPartsIceD, AssemblyBlockPartsTimerA, AssemblyBlockPartsTimerABloom, and AssemblyBlockPlanet (which is this). Super Mario Galaxy 2 only keeps the first two objects. I suggest that name, especially since it's more descriptive than the alternative. LinkTheLefty (talk) 19:35, September 13, 2019 (EDT)
- Well, the name is at least somewhat implied by Space Junk Galaxy's name (though it's more likely referring to the random junk everywhere), but I'd support moving if we can't find a source for it. As well, this and Platform are different. Assembly Block is honestly the best SMG filename I've seen so far. TheDarkStar 19:38, September 13, 2019 (EDT)
- It can have its own article. I'm for moving it to Assembly Block, if that's agreed upon. 19:41, September 13, 2019 (EDT)
- The Japanese name of Space Junk Galaxy is Star Dust Galaxy, so it doesn't correspond to the name of this object. Also, I should add: this is a case where Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia took at least one name from us, as the Super Mario Galaxy 2 section uses "Space Junk" on page 171 but the Super Mario Galaxy section uses "Cosmic Block" on page 136, which may be based on the article's previous conjectural name, "Cosmic Platform".
