Talk:Blooper (Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door)
Why should this get its own page? Because this seems to go against precedent (how we merged the Wigglers from the Mario & Luigi games recently). Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 18:46, 25 November 2016 (EST)
- Yeah, I was just thinking about it, The RPG Gamer (talk) should have create a proposal or discuss this topic before creating a page about it. In my opinion, it should have stay with the main Blooper page. This Blooper has nothing different in from generic Blooper (no physical difference/no different personnality). Despite being bigger, the game still calls it "Blooper" not "Giant Blooper" or something different that could characterized this Blooper as different. --(TALK) 18:56, 25 November 2016 (EST)
Is it possible to merge this back with the main Blooper article considering that RPG Gamer didn't create a proposal or discuss about this to split this Blooper from the main Blooper article?--(TALK) 18:24, 26 November 2016 (EST)
- You can, but you'll have to get an admin to delete this page. Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 14:12, 27 November 2016 (EST)
Necessary?[edit]
I still don't see why Big Squiddy here gets his own article. Yes, I know that it was because of a proposal but he's no different than other Big Bloopers. You could maybe make the argument that it's because his tentacles are fought separately and then you fight him but some other Mario games like DDR depict the tentacles as separate as well. To me, this is completely unnecessary. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 08:29, August 25, 2024 (EDT)
- ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You can always make a counter-proposal 28 days after the previous proposal, though it's best to garner a stronger case if you want different results. LinkTheLefty (talk) 09:54, August 25, 2024 (EDT)
- If you think this Big Blooper doesn't deserve to have its own article because of its genericness, I'm gonna need some sort of corroboration here because if the preceding and succeeding games' Bloopers should both have articles for their boss battles, how much more this one? Not to mention that it's a Paper Mario-styled Blooper who has made an appearance in a Smash game as well! -User:Jude da Dude
- Super Blooper should definitely be merged to Big Blooper. The SPM one should absolutely stay split because its Lang-of-Orig name is special (compare King Bob-omb - himself originally localized as the Big Bob-omb - with standard large Bob-ombs for a comparison there). - I guess merging Super Blooper would be consistent with the Shark Chomp situation, but isn't TTYD's Blooper basically just Lava Piranha? With the added confusion that is existing in a game alongside regular Bloopers. Blinker (talk) 15:20, August 25, 2024 (EDT)
- Well since Lava Piranha doesn't appear alongside "normal" Fire Piranhas, it's ambiguous if it's meant to be a "big" one or a "normal" one (granted, "big" ones were the most prominent ones in SM64).... Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:22, August 25, 2024 (EDT)
