How to handle the Bird from the MvDK remake[edit]
The remake opted to give the enemy an organic appearance instead of retaining its mechanical appearance from previous MvDK games. Covering this enemy's appearance on this article would contradict the "toy" identifier as well as the wiki's general practice of separating characters and enemies from their toy counterparts (e.g. Shy Guy (toy) is separate from Shy Guy, as is Monchee from Monkikki, with Monchee's split even being decided through a proposal). On the flip side, making yet another page just for a retroactive design change feels kinda silly, especially when the enemy is likely to have otherwise no changes in behavior from its original incarnation. - This may be stupid suggestion, but maybe the toy enemies could be merged with their organic counterparts? Blinker (talk) 17:05, January 31, 2024 (EST)
- Worth noting the remake also toy-ifies the Boos, which didn't appear to be toys originally. Also, that the Bird's sprites in the original game are so low-resolution it's hard to tell anyway. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:16, January 31, 2024 (EST)
- The birds seem to be handled in a similar way to the RamRams in the remake so I think it would make sense to group them with the regular birds from DK Jr. and DK94. ReeceeYT (talk) 15:44, February 15, 2024 (EST)

- That's true, Nitpickers would be more fitting. ReeceeYT (talk) 16:28, February 15, 2024 (EST)
- I've thought of the Mario vs. Donkey Kong birds as redesigned Nitpickers, but there may need to be a little more evidence. At least Snapjaw has this; all we have to go off of is "Bird". LinkTheLefty (talk) 11:12, March 29, 2024 (EDT)
