Awazon/river basin[edit]
It seems like it's only named once, and it's called the "Awazon river basin" there (not Awazon River). I seem to recall an external source (maybe Nintendo Power?) just calling it the Awazon, though, like in the Japanese subtitle. Could someone check? LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:00, 6 December 2014 (EST)
About Aldegara Waterfall...[edit]
This is a case of two articles being unnecessarily split, if I've ever seen one. The article for the Awazon river basin and the Aldegara Waterfall have almost the exact same content, right down to the story from the Virtual Boy Wario Land manual pasted at the bottom of the article... for some reason. I really think we ought to merge the little unique information Aldegara Waterfall has (basically, just its Japanese name) into this article. Would I need to make a proposal for this or am I able to go ahead? DrippingYellow (talk) 00:30, December 11, 2023 (EST)
- Just realized after writing this I probably should've stated my rationale: the Aldegara Waterfall is only ever seen at the Awazon river basin, and it has quite possibly even less relevance than the river basin itself, since at least the Japanese subtitle of Virtual Boy Wario Land specifically refers to the Awazon. Better to have an article on a larger area with little information than an article on a briefly mentioned area with little information. DrippingYellow (talk) 00:43, December 11, 2023 (EST)

Thinking about it now, I guess there are some valid points against merging the two, so I'll give it the privilege of a proposal. To sum up my reasoning: the content between the two articles is almost identical, the Aldegara Waterfall is one of only two shown locations in the Awazon river basin, and the river basin is more notable anyway since it serves as the main setting (and namesake, in Japan) of the game.

- Camwoodstock (talk) This makes sense to us. The Aldegara Waterfall is basically all we see of the Awazon river, so merging the two doesn't really leave out much context. ;P
