On the subject of this being a separate article from Angel of Independence[edit]

I gave my thoughts on this on my talk page, but it does not seem to have been read. To restate: this is clearly an instance where the landmark and the artifact stolen from it are the same thing. This happens elsewhere with the Dome of the Rock and the Damascus Gate, and this is clearly that but with less-consistent terminology (which Mario is Missing! is generally not great at). As such, this being a separate article is as nonsensical as having two articles for each of those landmarks as well.

I'd like this to not become an edit war, so all I'll do is put up a Template:Merge to for now. But please listen to me. And don't condescend to me. Ahemtoday (talk) 02:51, July 2, 2024 (EDT)

Do not worry, it is good enough that you put the Merge template so we can discuss. I read a message on Discord and LadySophie told me that she thinks every article should be merged with its respective landmark. Also I want to know your idea on how we can merge both this landmark and artifact since the artifact is a subset to the Angel of Independence. Hm. Well, first off, I dunno if I agree with her on that point. I see the reasoning for that — these articles are pretty short and most of these only have relevance to each other — but on the other hand, items in games should have their own article, and it's not as if other games don't end up in this situation as well — see Blue Key (Paper Mario) for an equally-short article. It also gets weird with King Kong, who would have an article no matter what.
I think my current stance is still that Angel of Independence, Damascus Gate and Dome of the Rock should cover the landmark and artifact because they're the same thing in those cases, and all other things remain split.
As for the layout of the merged page, I think having an "Item information" heading and then a "Questions" heading would work. I could take care of it myself, if you'd like. Ahemtoday (talk) 12:24, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
I think that can work! If this merge proposal succeeds, I think we should have a heading like "Artifact: <name>" then the subheading can be "Item information". I do not mind about the questions heading. Derekblue1(talk)Daisy Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga-styled sprite 21:42, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
