Internal name?[edit]
In internal data for Paper Mario: The Origami King (both text data and item filenames), this item is called the 100-Coin. This is consistent with the 10-Coin, 30-Coin, and 50-Coin names in Super Mario Maker 2; internal data also uses 1-Coin, 10-Coin, and 1000-Coin. This is still an official English name that comes from the game, even if it's in unused data, so would it take priority over this "giant coin" name? Scrooge200 (talk) 16:16, October 8, 2020 (EDT)
- Gonna bump this. I think we should move it for consistency with the other coin names. Scrooge200 (talk) 20:14, October 27, 2020 (EDT)
- They're not even always giant, so I'd be in favor of that. LinkTheLefty (talk) 20:30, October 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Would make more sense for what it is. Nightwicked Bowser
- I'd be in favor of a move. Niiue - Who has lost his tail? 21:15, October 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Yeah, if I saw an article named "giant coin," I'd assume it refers to the coin in Mondo Woods or something, I'll move the page now. Scrooge200 (talk) 12:02, October 28, 2020 (EDT)
- Well, what I was getting at was using the term "100-Coin" for earlier appearances too (except maybe New Super Mario Bros. 2 since the Prima guide uses "giant coin" consistently), since for example, it makes for a fairly jarring misnomer when the coin worth 10 in Wario Land II is actually giant whereas the coin worth 100 is normal-sized. - Honestly, yeah, I do think that's better. It's closer to the Japanese name, too. Scrooge200 (talk) 12:02, November 4, 2020 (EST)
