In ''Princess Peach: Showtime!'', Swordfighter Peach is able to perform consecutive sword attacks on enemies and destroy objects blocking her path. The sword attack movements are rapid enough that one of the attack positions involve her spinning upside down. In the sidescroller sections only, Peach can also perform a high spin attack by pressing {{button|switch|leftstick|}} (up) + {{button|switch|b}} while on the ground.

Peach has two ways to dodge if an incoming enemy charges at her first: She can slide along the floor to get behind the enemy, or she can jump if it is successfully timed, during which the jump will be shown in slow motion and Peach will automatically land nearby in a position to attack the enemy. The latter type of dodge is mandatory to beat the three levels' boss fights.

==Physical description==
In her Swordfighter form, Peach wears a gold-lined, blue redingote with gold epaulettes and burgundy interiors, a matching musketeer hat and knee-length cuffed boots with golden tips. Under the jacket are a burgundy gilet and tight white pants; hanging on her chest is a drape of white fabric with a smaller version of her usual brooch pinned on, and on her hat are a red rose and two feathers, the largest one being pink with pale yellow barbs and the smallest being white. She wears her hair in a low ponytail and has red earrings instead of her usual blue ones.
