Like the ''[[Super Mario (series)|Super Mario]]'' enemy, [[Swoop]], Swoopies are named after their main trait of swooping. In [[Krematoa]], Swoopies have a level dedicated to them, [[Swoopy Salvo]], which they appear throughout.
