In Challenge Mode, a portion of the level is used in Perilous Coin Dodge, and a hidden room is used in The Trial of Bullet Bill Hill.

The level begins with a Bill Blaster above, and an arrow lift is located nearby. Another Bill Blaster is found, along with a ? Block containing a power-up. A trail of coins foreshadow a Hidden Block with a 1-Up Mushroom. Two more arrow lifts are found after another Bill Blaster. A Bill Blaster Turret is found, along with an arrow lift that takes the player beneath a section of the ground. Koopa Troopas and arrow lifts are found, along with a tall Bill Blaster. A Roulette Block can be found in a section of the ground. An arrow lift that moves down is found, allowing access to platforms below. The Checkpoint Flag is then found. A row of downward-moving arrow lifts is found above a pit, as well as some Bill Blasters. Another Bill Blaster is found, followed by Koopa Troopas and a POW Block. More arrow lifts and Bill Blaster Turrets are in the following section. The level concludes with a Paratroopa on a staircase leading to the Goal Pole.
The level takes place in a sky of white clouds and grassy platforms. The level is also infested with Bullet Bills. The main gimmick of this level are Switchback Platforms that help the player progress through the level.

*Star Coin 1: Near the very beginning of the level, the first Star Coin is in plain sight underneath an orange bridge. The player should take a Switchback Platform while avoiding the Bullet Bills to safely reach the Star Coin. {see above)

*Star Coin 2: Right before the midway point, there's a hidden green Warp Pipe above a Switchback Platform. In the next area, the player must work their way through to reach the second Star Coin.

*Star Coin 3: A POW Block can be hit to reveal the third Star Coin. However, the coin will fall on an unreachable Switchback Platform. The player can either bounce off a Bullet Bill to reach it, or wait until the platform drops off the Star Coin.
