'''Sweet Sweet Canyon''' is the third race course of the [[Mushroom Cup]] in ''[[Mario Kart 8]]'' and ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]''. Similar to [[GCN Cookie Land|Cookie Land]] from ''[[Mario Kart: Double Dash!!]]'' and [[Tart Top]] from ''[[Mario Kart DS]]'', this course takes place in a land filled with pastry confections and desserts, including cakes, cookies, ice creams, candies, donuts, macarons, and chocolates. Gingerbread [[Toad (species)|Toads]] can be seen cheering at the start/finish line, and waffle-cone windmills with blades made out of different-colored wafer cookies appear in the background. There are twenty-five Coins located on this track. This course can be seen on some of the posters for [[List of sponsors debuting in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe#Galaxy Air|Galaxy Air]].

The course starts out in a place where gingerbread cookie characters are watching, while [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshis]] are situated on the other side, cheering for the racers. The track then enters a cave made out of cookies, followed by a [[Glide Ramp|glider cannon]] that launches the racers onto a cake tower with a soda waterfall. Here, there are [[traffic cone]]s made out of ice cream cones on a large right turn, and the racers then drive inside [[Underwater driving|orange soda]]. As the soda section ends, the racers can either choose a blue path or a pink path, both of which are [[anti-gravity]] routes that spiral around each other. After the anti-gravity paths meet up again, drivers encounter a number of pink [[Piranha Plant]]s, hiding inside [[Warp Pipe|green Pipes]]. After a few turns, the racers hit a drop-off before reaching the [[Finish Line (object)|start-finish line]].

*Just before the tunnel at the start of the course, there is a small section of pink frosting on the right that players can cut through using a [[Dash Mushroom|Mushroom]].

*On the blue anti-gravity route, players can fall off the track at the chocolate part, and land on the pink anti-gravity route. This shortcut is best performed with a Mushroom.
