An '''Advanced Command''' is an upgraded [[Bros. Attack]] in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]''. Advanced Commands are quite different from the regular Bros. Attacks. They can completely change the effects of the attack. To unlock an Advanced Command for each Bros. Attack, [[Mario]] or [[Luigi]] must successfully execute said move a number of times, as shown below:

'''Super Attacks''' (called '''Advanced Commands''' in the original game) are upgraded versions of [[Bros. Attack]]s that appear only in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]'' and its enhanced remake, ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions]]''. Advanced Commands are different from the regular Bros. Attacks, as they can change the effects of the attack, and can be performed in the middle of a regular Bros. Attack by inputting a different [[Action Command]]. Once a Bros. Attack's Advanced Command is learned, the letters "ADV" appear next to it.

In ''Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions'', Super Attacks are completely separate Bros. Attacks that cost different numbers of [[Bros. Point]]s and do not involve pressing a different button during a normal Bros. Attack to execute.

*[[Chopper Bros.]]: 32 times
*[[Fire Bros. (move)|Fire Bros.]]: 20 times

==List of Super Attacks==
===Luigi's Advance Commands===
To unlock an Advanced Command for each Bros. Attack, [[Mario]] or [[Luigi]] must successfully execute a certain attack a number of times. In the remake, each Super Attack is unlocked after getting an "Excellent!" with its normal version 6 times.
*[[Bounce Bros.]]: 8 times

*[[Cyclone Bros.]]: 21 times
===Mario's Super Attacks===
*[[Knockback Bros.]]: 43 times
*[[Splash Bros.]]: 20 times - After the first command, Luigi throws Mario up before he performs a spinning stomp on the enemy, which deals doubled damage to spiny enemies. In the remake, Mario does a [[Spin Jump (Mario & Luigi series)|Spin Jump]] onto Luigi, who bounces him upward thrice before Mario stomps on the enemy. The attack instead deals less damage to regular enemies than it does to spiny enemies.
*[[Thunder Bros.]]: 24 times
*[[Swing Bros.]]: 10 times - While Luigi is flying back to Mario, Mario jumps to Luigi and then spins over the enemy, causing damage and possibly stealing an item. In the remake, as soon as Luigi hits the selected enemy, Mario runs and dives toward Luigi, with Luigi catching his hands. They then bounce off the enemy and performs a drill-like move, causing damage and stealing coins and (possibly) an item.

*[[Chopper Bros.]]: 32 times - Mario dunks Luigi into the ground and Luigi pops up from underneath the enemy. Mario again dunks Luigi, Luigi pops up, and the process repeats until the player messes up an Action Command. In the remake, this has no effect on flying enemies, and it can only be done up to eight times.
[[Category:Special Moves]]
*[[Fire Bros. (move)|Fire Bros.]]: 28 times - Mario jumps up and hits the fireballs, congregating all of them into a larger fireball. When all are fired or put together, Mario jumps up from Luigi and hits it into the enemy in a similar manner to a spike in volleyball, which can cause [[burn]]. In the remake, Luigi jumps up, bouncing the large fireball up. Mario jumps off of Luigi and hits the fireball into the enemy in the same fashion. When the fireball explodes, it creates a shockwave that damages all surrounding grounded enemies.

===Luigi's Super Attacks===
*[[Bounce Bros.]]: 8 times - Mario jumps up onto Luigi, they bounce once more, then Luigi then Mario jump onto two separate enemies (only one if there is one).
*[[Cyclone Bros.]]: 21 times - After every hit of the attack lands, Mario turns back to regular size, raising Luigi up for him to hammer the enemy, which may cause [[Dizzy|dizziness]].
*[[Knockback Bros.]]: 43 times - Mario rolls into a ball and Luigi knocks him into an enemy with his hammer, before he comes back. Luigi hits Mario again, and the process repeats until the player messed up an Action Command. In the remake, it can now hit multiple targets, only lasting up to five hits.
*[[Thunder Bros.]]: 24 times - Mario dunks Luigi into the ground and he pops out of the ground, performing an electrified uppercut that hits one enemy, whether they are airborne or not, and can cause [[POW-Down|their attack power to decrease]].
