It is unlocked via completion of either [[Rising Piranhas]] or [[Spine Coaster Stowaways]], and its own completion unlocks [[Switch-Lift Express]] and [[Roy's Ironclad Castle]]. Unlike {{world link|6|towern|World 6-Tower 2 (New Super Mario Bros.)}}[[World 6-Tower 2 (New Super Mario Bros.)|2]] in ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]'', it shares its numeric label with the world's first tower, [[Smashing-Stone Tower]].

==Layout==
This tower begins near a platform with a [[Sumo Bro]] on it. A [[? Block]] is found above the Sumo Bro. A [[Fire Bar]] is found, along with a [[Screwtop Lift]] that the player must use to ascend. A ? Block is found, along with another moving platform with a Fire Bar at either end of the track. On the left wall is a [[Hidden Block]] that contains a [[1-Up Mushroom]]. Another ? Block is found, along with a Screwtop Lift with a [[Dry Bones]] on it. Two Fire Bars are encountered as the Screwtop Lift moves up, where another platform with a Dry Bones is found. A Sumo Bro is found above the Screwtop Lift as it rises. A Screwtop Lift with three Sumo Bros. above it must then be used. This leads to the boss door, with a Sumo Bro found above. After entering the boss door, [[Boss Sumo Bro]] must be fought.
