The level's name alludes to the dinosaur fossils found througout the cave, the teeth of which Wario can dash and bore into with the aid of a [[Max Fastosity Dasherator]] to create passages to different areas. Stonetooth Cave is also filled with [[conveyor belt]]s, some of which carry ammonite [[fossil]]s produced from the ceiling; many enemies are found walking on conveyor belts as well.
