Stone Buzzies are a variation of Buzzy Beetle that appear in Super Paper Mario in the Gap of Crag. Stone Buzzies have hard stones on their backs, hence the name "Stone Buzzy". They move slowly and require three stomps to defeat. Unlike other types of Buzzy Beetle, Stone Buzzies do not simply vanish when defeated, but rather, their shells crack and fall off, briefly revealing their soft bodies before they disappear. A more powerful version, the Dark Stone Buzzy, appears in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.

Stone Buzzies are a variation of Buzzy Beetle that appear in Super Paper Mario. They resemble standard Buzzy Beetles and their other variants in the first three Paper Mario games, but as their name indicates, uniquely bear a gray shell made of stone. This stone shell is far less sturdy than a regular Buzzy Beetle's shell, as jumping on it will crack it until it breaks after three stomps, defeating them. When this happens, they are revealed to only wear blue shorts with red polka dots, which seemingly embarrasses the Stone Buzzy as they promptly disappear.

Stone Buzzies are first encountered in Downtown of Crag, where one appears in 3D, and they are found in abundance within the Gap of Crag. A more powerful version, the Dark Stone Buzzy, appears in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.

Buzzy Beetles which similarly wear a rock-like shell, Magmites and Magmuses, prior appeared in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
