Strangely, Stewart is seen remaining on land when Mario departs on the Blimp, and is then seen at the destination upon arrival. How he reaches the destination before Mario and the blimp is never revealed; the original Japanese script and the Italian translation does not indicate they are the same individual, and as such this may be a translation oversight. There might be one Stewart at each of the blimp's stops.

During Bowser's segment between Chapter 4 and 5, Stewart attempts to greet his new customers until realizing that his newest customer is in fact Bowser, prompting him to flee and take the blimp with him. This resulted in Bowser deciding to use the Koopa Clown Car due to having already snuck into Glitzville once before.
