The Starbeans Cafe is a shop in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its 3DS remake owned by Professor E. Gadd. It is located in Beanbean Castle Town. The shop's Beanbean Machine utilizes a special  StarB System in which customers bring various Beans to expand the menu with freshly-made Bean Juice. Also, three of the drinks served at the cafe have names based off real varieties of coffee: Hoolumbian, Chuckoccino, and Teeheespresso are named for the Colombian, Cappuccino, and Espresso coffees respectively.

Starbeans Cafe is named after the wikipedia chain of coffee shops. The Prima Games guide for the game calls the establishment "a" Starbeans, further connecting it to the restaurant franchise. Three of the drinks served at the cafe have names based on real varieties of coffee: the Hoolumbian, Chuckoccino, and Teeheespresso are named for the Colombian, cappuccino, and espresso coffees respectively.
In the remake, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, specifically in the alternate story mode Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser, it was revealed that the reason why E. Gadd created the franchise was so it would act as secondary funding for his ghost research which he mindlessly admitted to an already-departed Captain Goomba and his soldiers while rambling. In addition, the number of beans required per blend have been reduced, while also reducing the effect of each blend.

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, the number of beans required per blend is lower, but the effect of each blend has also been reduced. In the Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser campaign, it is revealed that E. Gadd created Starbeans as secondary funding for his ghost research. E. Gadd mindlessly admitted this while rambling to Captain Goomba and his soldiers, who had already left.

Special Items
Every time a drink is mixed that has not been made before, Professor E. Gadd will come and give Mario and Luigi one of his inventions, usually coupled with a humorous scene. These secret items can be equipped in the extra equipment slot under Clothes and Badges. Like Clothes and Badges, each character can only equip one item.
