It has appeared in ''[[Super Mario-kun]]'' a few times: In [[Super Mario-kun Volume 7|volume 7]], the Star Rod is one of the items stolen by the [[collector]], and in [[Super Mario-kun Volume 9|volume 9]], a Star Rod is used by Mario to defeat [[No. 48]]; he created it earlier on by combining a [[Super Star]] with a rod.

The Star Rod is an item in every game of the ''[[Super Smash Bros. (series)|Super Smash Bros.]]'' series. It is a battering item in which the player character shoots out stars at opponents, for up to twenty in total.
