Their upper half juts up on a spring and blinks orange when one is stunned by being hit with a [[jump]] or a spin, allowing Mario to bounce extra high off them and gently spin downwards, like with [[Spindrift]]s from ''[[Super Mario 64]]''. Unlike most other enemies in the game, Spring Topmen respawn if defeated, specifically by reappearing from a small black circle resembling a [[black hole]]; the only way for them to be defeated in the first place is to be spun into an [[electric rail]].
