| | A Soul Bubble is a stronger relative of the Love Bubble encountered in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. The four Mario Bros. fought these while storming Shroob Castle, the Peach's Castle of the past after it was taken over by the Shroobs. A Soul Bubble is similar in appearance to a love bubble, except its body is cream-colored, and its X-ed out eyes are green. |

| | Soul Bubbles have all the same attacks as Love Bubbles, except they attack much faster, making the attacks harder to dodge. Also, while the Love Bubble always circles the brothers a set number of times during its homing attack, the Soul Bubble's amount before attacking varies. |
| A Soul Bubble is a stronger version of the Love Bubble encountered in Shroob Castle during the events of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. A Soul Bubble is similar to a Love Bubble, except its body is cream-colored, its feet are orange, and its crossed out eyes (which become spirals when it takes damage) are green. Soul Bubbles generally fly aimlessly in the field, but will divebomb intruders into their territory.

| Being a stronger variant, Soul Bubbles have the same attacks as Love Bubbles, except they attack incredibly fast and are much more powerful. Also, while the Love Bubble always circles the brothers a set number of times during its homing attack, the Soul Bubble's amount before attacking varies. Soul Bubbles can still heal other enemies in battle, just as the Love Bubbles. They can, however, heal more HP than the Love Bubble, which is half of the damage inflicted to them, and also revive enemies that were previously defeated, much like Elite Troopeas and Scaratroopeas from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
| | The most prominent difference between Soul Bubbles and Love Bubbles is that in addition to healing enemies, Soul Bubbles have the added ability to resurrect defeated enemies, making this ability much more dangerous. In addition, the resurrected foes then get a free turn, so Soul Bubbles should be taken out first to avoid this. |
|
| |
|
| Due to their ability to fly, Soul Bubbles cannot be hit by ground-based weaponry. If the player uses the Fire Flower or Ice Flower, Soul Bubbles can only be hit by fireballs thrown by Baby Mario and Baby Luigi.
