After gaining some more information, the group splits up, and Sonic heads to [[Horse Guards Parade]], where he finds Knuckles and [[Vector]] who help him fend off Bowser and clear the area of fog. Sonic then returns to the [[Main Stadium]] to meet up with the others, and helps save [[Cream (character)|Cream]] and [[Cheese (character)|Cheese]] from some [[imposter]]s when the fog returns. Brawl]]''. Sonic's design is based on more recent games at the time such as ''Sonic Colors'', which in turn are based on official 2D and CG artworks. The only major differences to Sonic's moveset is that his {{iw|smashwiki|down smash}} is a split-kick, and his Spin Dash is followed by a lunging kick afterwards. Sonic's moves inflict more {{iw|smashwiki|knockback}} whilst having a lower damage output.
