Soda Lake is a secret underwater area reached by entering the secret Giant Gate of the Cheese Bridge Area in Super Mario World. This level is located in the Twin Bridges area. Torpedo Teds, underwater Bullet Bill relatives, are exclusive to this level, where they are dropped from torpedo tubes. They can travel through walls and are always deployed in Mario's (or Luigi's) direction. When Mario clears the area, he unlocks the third Star Road. To access this level, the player must enter the Cheese Bridge Area and use a Cape Feather or Yoshi to make their way under the first Giant Gate to reach an alternate Giant Gate, making it possible to access Soda Lake.
Soda Lake is an underwater secret area reached by entering the secret gate of Cheese Bridge in the game Super Mario World. This level is located in World 4, Twin Bridges. Mario or Luigi will encounter a new and unique enemy (only appearing in this level), the Torpedo Ted. This underwater Bullet Bill relative (which are dropped from   Skull Boxes) can travel through walls and are always deployed in the player's direction.  They cannot be defeated in any way, so it is advised to simply avoid them. When the player clears the area, they will unlock the third warp point to Star Road.

Access
At the start, the player descends from a gray pipe. They first encounter a Blurp, and a torpedo tube appears. Proceeding past the enemies, the player encounters another three Blurps near a Prize Block, which contains either a Super Mushroom or a Fire Flower. Past this Prize Block are two torpedo tubes and a line of Blurps passing through the bottom of the screen. The first Dragon Coin is situated between two torpedo tubes.

Up ahead, four Blurps travel from a row of descending torpedo tubes. Along with many regular coins, the second Dragon Coin sits near the middle torpedo tube. The next open area has a lone pillar and more pockets of Blurps, containing either five or six of them. A nearby chasm contains the third Dragon Coin, where four torpedo tubes are situated near it along with three more Blurps. The fourth Dragon Coin is in plain sight right in front of another torpedo tube.
To access this level, the player must use a Feather to glide their way over the first Giant Gate, or fall underneath it while riding a Yoshi to jump off, to reach an alternate Giant Gate, making it possible to access Soda Lake.

Beyond said torpedo tube, there is another one higher up, with two Blurps coming towards the player. This second torpedo tube becomes the first of three in a row, all surrounding the final Dragon Coin. A column of four Blurps blocks passageway until they pass by. Three more Blurps travel past as the player arrives at a passage where Torpedo Teds spawn above the player. The pipe at the end takes the player to the Giant Gate to complete the level.
Overview
At the start Mario or Luigi will descend from a gray pipe to begin their journey. Quite suddenly a Blurp and a Skull Box appear on the horizon. Quickly climb towards the upper section of the screen as not to get trapped. Another 3 Blurps guard an Question Block containing either a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower depending on Mario's current state. Be wary of two approaching Torpedo Teds and a line of Blurps patrolling the bottom of the screen (note that they, unlike their Torpedo Ted allies, can indeed be killed by either a fireball or cape spin). There also the first Dragon Coin situated between two Skull Boxes, this is very risky and is not recommended if the player wishes to keep their power-up or stay alive if small.

The player can avoid most Blurps and Torpedo Teds by swimming at the very bottom of the screen for nearly the entire level. The obstacles are penetrable at the bottom of the screen, though the player must be mindful not to sink too far below the viewable area of the screen.
Up ahead, a school of 4 Blurps make their way away from a row of descending Skull Boxes. Along with many regular coins, the second Dragon Coin near the middle Torpedo Ted. Time it so that the middle Skull Box has just fired before attempting to grab it. Making way towards the bottom of the screen, to avoid the treacherous Torpedo Teds (keep an eye open for stray Blurps down here, however). The next open are has a lone pillar and more pockets of Blurps (5-6 this time), so swim up and continue. Drop into the nearby chasm for the third Dragon Coin, but beware the nearby Torpedo Ted which will travel through the wall to attack Mario/Luigi. That same Skull Box is accompanied by 3 others in this next tricky section, it is best to stay low and quickly swim up amidst whatever Torpedo Teds that may be coming Mario/Luigi's way along with 3 more Blurps. The fourth Dragon Coin is in plain sight right in front of yet another Skull Box, so make sure to be quick in the execution of snagging it.

Enemies
Beyond said Skull Box be prepared another one higher up with 2 Blurps coming towards you somewhere nearby. This second Skull Box becomes the first of 3 in a row, all surrounding the final Dragon Coin. It is perhaps the easiest one if Mario/Luigi can quickly catch it before either of the upper Skull Boxes gets a chance to launch a Torpedo Ted at them. A column of 4 Blurps will make further passage impossible until they pass. 3 more Blurps drift past as Mario/Luigi arrive at a passage in which they can simply walk across to avoid all the Torpedo Teds churning above them. Then simply cross the Giant Gate to complete this level.
