The '''Sobarribad''' is an enemy in ''[[Super Paper Mario]]'' encountered in [[Castle Bleck]].  It is a subspecies of [[Barribad]].  The Sobarribad is simply a white version of the Barribad.  Its name is a pun on the words "so very bad", and is derived from its method of protection, a barrier. It appears similar to, and may even be related to the [[Yux]] species from ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]''. The Sobarribad projects an impenetrable barrier around itself when [[Mario]], [[Princess Peach]], [[Bowser]], or [[Luigi]] approaches, and shoots rings of energy at them. However, by flipping to 3D, the player can go around the barrier, switch to 2D, and defeat it.  An alternative is to use [[pixl]] [[Barry]], which will reflect the energy back at them and destroys them.

The only two Sobarribads are located at the top of the [[Hogarithm]] room, shooting rings at the bottom, and can be reached with [[Luigi]]'s [[Super jump (Super Paper Mario)|super jump]]. They need to be defeated to progress through the rest of the castle.
