However, there are rocks and [[snowman|snowmen]] in the game, and hitting them causes the snowball to decrease in size and slow down. Touching the Headless Snowman's head also slows him down.

In ''New Super Mario Bros.'', the minigame appears as a one-to-four-player minigame. The single-player mode plays mostly the same way, although both rocks and [[penguin]]s appear, similar to in [[Giant Snowball Slalom]]. In multiplayer, the minigame turns into a race between all players; the first player to reach the finish line is declared the winner.

This minigame takes place in [[Cool, Cool Mountain]] and has the same background music.
