These one-eyed, bluish-purple spiders are encountered only in Fungi Forest at night, during the mini-boss fight against their larger counterpart, the Giant Spider. The Giant Spider summons three Small Spiders to attack Tiny Kong at the start of the battle. They can be defeated from a few hits or instantly from the shockwave attack. From each hit, the Giant Spider summons three more Small Spiders to go after Tiny. After five hits, the Giant Spider transforms into a Small Spider and can be defeated just like one.

Spiders are only encountered in the area Fungi Forest at night. They are encountered by Tiny Kong in the lair of the Giant Spider inside a barn that Tiny gets to by using Mini Monkey. Regular spiders sometimes come down and try to attack Tiny. These Spiders are fairly strong as they can take a fair number of hits before being defeated. It is best to use the shockwave attack given to Tiny by the Banana Fairy Queen to defeat them. Interestingly when the giant spider is defeated it transforms into a Spider, which can be defeated in one hit.

Spiders are also insects in Yoshi's Story that try to come down and hurt a Yoshi. They have spikes on them. They are only found in Stage1-2:Surprise!! and Stage4-1:Junge Hut
