The Slide Attack is an attack that can be performed by any player in Mario Kart: Double Dash. It can be done in co-op mode. To perform it, the driver must drift near the opponent (it doesn't matter which direction), and at the same time the rear player must press the L or R button to attack the opponent. If the attack hits the opponent successfully, the player will steal the item that the opponent had. The back player can also attack the opponent using an item (for example, a Green Shell or by using a Mushroom and hitting an opponent while the player is going fast.
The Slide Attack (or Slide-attack) is an attack that can be performed in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! This move can be used only in co-op mode, and it has the ability to spin out opposing racers and steal their items. To use the move, the player that utilizes the items must press either the gcn button to do a Slide Attack to the left or the gcn button to do it to the right. Because the move quickly shifts the kart slightly to the left or right, it can be either useful or hindering to the driver, depending on which time it is used.

If Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Toad, or Toadette holds an item that causes them to face the player (Bananas, Fake Item Boxes, Mushrooms, etc.), they slide-attack in the wrong direction.
