The Shroob Rex's final attack is to do a short [[Flutter Jump]] before charging into a Mario Bro., then running offscreen to the left and back into the other Bro from behind. This attack can be dodged or countered by jumping, but only if certain prerequisites are met. A normal-sized Shroob Rex is too tall to jump over, so the attack cannot be dodged. However, if a Mario Bro. jumps on a Shroob Rex beforehand, it becomes shorter, like normal Rexes do in other games. Shroob Rexes have two different smaller sizes they can be when stomped on. After being stomped once, the adult Bros. are able to dodge the charge attack, but a baby Bro. alone cannot clear the Shroob Rex with their smaller jump. Only after being stomped twice is the Shroob Rex flat enough to be jumped over by the babies.
