The Scandal Jeans are gear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions exclusive to Luigi. Their effect, called Mario Ahead in the original and Before Mario in the remake, allows Luigi to attack immediately before Mario does regardless of their or their enemies' respective SPEED stats. In all versions, they are available for purchase from the Little Fungitown Fashion House after defeating Popple and Birdo in Teehee Valley.

The Scandal Jeans are gear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions that can only be equipped by Luigi. Having them equipped gives a DEF boost, being 70 points in the original, 55 points in the Japanese version of the original, and 86 in the remake. Having them equipped makes it so Luigi will always move before Mario in battle, regardless of his Speed stat. In the remake, they also give an additional 15 BP boost.
In the original, they give a DEF boost of 55 points in the Japanese version and 70 points in international releases. They cost 2200 coins in the Japanese version, which is decreased immensely to 280 coins in international releases.

In the remake, they give a DEF boost of 86 points and a BP boost of 15 points. Their price is raised back to 2200 coins.
