A sandpit

Sandpits are obstacles that appear in Excitebike: Bun Bun Mario Battle. When the player or an opponent rides over it, they significantly slow down. Sandpits look like a darker version of the ground with a white border. Sandpits can come in different sizes and length.

Ramps and hills are often placed before sandpits for riders to jump over them.
