The '''Safety Ring''' is an accessory in ''[[Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars]]''. It keeps the wearer from being affected by [[mortal blow]]s, elemental attacks, and negative status effects. Additionally, it increases both physical and magical defense as well as speed by five points. The Safety Ring is found in a hidden room in the [[Sunken Ship]] guarded by a [[Blooper Nanny|Blooper with kids]]. It can be sold for 400 [[coin]]s, but cannot be replaced.  In [[Super Mario RPG (Nintendo Switch)|the remake]] on Normal difficulty, the item has its elemental attack protection weakened to 70% damage reduction, though still fully protects against [[mortal blow]]s and status effects.
