| The Safari Room is a room in Area Three of the mansion in Luigi's Mansion and its remake. It can be unlocked using the Key from the Fortune-teller's Room. The Safari Room has three animal pelts on the floor (and only two pelts on tables in a pre-release version). Two shelves of boxes are under the mounted deer heads on the north wall. Beside the easy chair on the east wall is a chest that always has a 50-HP restoring Heart for Luigi, and a piece of cheese is always between the two objects. The south wall has a mirror, visible only from the Game Boy Horror. The ghosts only appear after vacuuming the mounted deer heads, which glow blue if only one or two are shaken or red if three are in the remake only. After Luigi has defeated every ghost, a treasure chest containing the key to the Balcony (3F) appears. | |

| A comment in the October 2001 issue of Nintendo Power referring to a "ghost of a hunter" who would "want to add Luigi to his collection" led several people to incorrectly assume that a hunter-themed portrait ghost had once existed in the game before being cut for being too violent. However, due to the magazine being released after the game's Japanese release, this seems to be merely flavor text.
| | Using the Key from the Fortune-Teller's Room, Luigi entered the Safari Room and at first found no ghosts. After exploring the room for a while, there were still no ghosts to be found. The plumber then noticed a row of three deer heads mounted on the north wall. Curious, Luigi aimed his vacuum at one of the heads and to his surprise, it began moving up and down. The amateur ghost-hunter did the same to the other two heads and a Blue Blaze appeared. Fortunately, Luigi had come equipped with an Ice Element, so the ghost was no problem. Another soon appeared, followed by another with the help of two Garbage Can Ghosts. Luigi captured them all, and was rewarded with a Key to the Balcony. |

| | The Safari Room has three animal pelts on the floor, something Luigi doesn't take too kindly to. It also contains two shelves of boxes under the deer heads, as well as an easy chair on the east wall. Beside the easy chair is a chest that always contains a 50-HP restoring Heart for Luigi. Using the Game Boy Horror, one can see a mirror on the south wall that can be used to teleport back to the Foyer. |
