The duo spots a sailor taking the Beanstar piece into another room, but a guard restricts the duo's entry into said room without a [[Membership Card (Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga)|Membership Card]]. He explains that the room is a cola cellar where the crew holds [[Chuckola Cola (Mario & Luigi series)|Chuckola Cola]]. The Mario Bros. can earn the Membership Card by visiting [[Bink]]'s room and completing [[Barrel (minigame)|his minigame]], which requires matching colored [[barrel]]s into rows and columns. Upon returning to the cola cellar, the Mario Bros. find the skeleton with the Beanstar piece who offers it in return for the favor of dislodging [[Bloat]], an obese skeleton who has gotten stuck inside a crack in the wall after drinking too much Chuckola Cola. Mario and Luigi locate a stash of dynamite hidden within the ship from using their [[hammer]]s on blue wooden planks on the left side of the boat. Mario uses [[Firebrand]] on its fuse, creating a hole in the wall and freeing Bloat. Before Mario and Luigi can collect their prize, sand begins pouring in through the hole created, with so much force that it pushes the ship back out into [[Oho Ocean]]. The ship crashes into a large rock, and it sinks into the [[Seabed]]. After this, [[Unrevisitable area|the ship cannot be reentered for the rest of the game.]]

Despite being last seen on the ocean floor, the S.S. Chuckola reappears in [[Cavi Cape]] in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story]]'', albeit with a different design. This is evidenced by the sign attached to a gate, in the original Japanese version of the game, calling the ship by its name. This reference was likely lost in the English version, as the ship's name "Vintage" was instead translated as an adjective.<ref>The sign at the gate in the ship reads 「この船は最新技術のきわみその名もヴィンテージ号である。」(''"This ship is the height of cutting-edge technology, and its name is the Vintage."'') The Vintage is S.S.
