The '''Rock Cup''' is a [[cup]] that appears in ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]'' as part of the ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass|Booster Course Pass]]'' DLC. It is the first of two cups in the third wave of the DLC, being released alongside the [[Moon Cup]], the fifth cup of the pass overall, and the seventeenth cup of the game overall. Like most cups in the pass, it only features [[classic course]]s. The emblem of the cup is a [[Rock Mushroom]], making it one of four cups in ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe'' to have some kind of [[Mushroom]] as its emblem, after the [[Mushroom Cup]], the [[Golden Dash Cup]], and the [[Propeller Cup]]. The decorations on this cup's [[trophy]] are teal.

*In the [[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe#Pre-release and unused content|game's data]], the filenames for {{classic-link|GBA|Boo Lake}}, {{classic-link|3DS|Rock Rock Mountain}}, and {{classic-link|Wii|Maple Treeway}} all imply that they were originally set for different placements in the pass (the third and fourth courses of the Rock Cup, and the second course of the [[Acorn Cup]] (the second course of the [[Moon Cup]] on a video uploaded by Nintendo of America on YouTube), respectively), and the filename for {{classic-link|DS|Peach Gardens}} (which is the second course of the Moon Cup in the final version) implies that it was originally set to be the second course of the Rock Cup.
