'''Riptides''' are variants of [[Wildclaw]]s that appear as enemies in ''[[Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope]]'', encountered only in [[Barrendale Mesa]]. They are named after {{wp|rip tide|offshore currents of the same name}}. They use fish-like weapons to attack. When they are attacked with weapons outside of their turn, they prematurely pursue and attack the attacker, and their attacks cause the Splash Super Effect. When Riptides are attacked, including from dashing, they begin flashing red from their lower body, with more of their body flashing the more they are attacked, until their entire body flashes red, and their attack power increases as a result. After they attack a hero, their attack power resets. Riptides are weak to Shock and resist Splash.
