It can be used by pressing {{button|switch|ZR}}. The Return Pipe allows the Mario Bros. to return to [[Shipshape Island]] or any other island linked to Shipshape at most times. Enough space in the area is required to place a Return Pipe (without being obstructed by additional walls or solid scenery), otherwise the player cannot use it.
