'''Red Spaces''' (or '''red spaces'''), known as '''minus spaces''' in ''[[Mario Party 5]]'' and '''Lose Coins Spaces''' in ''[[Mario Party 10]]'', are [[Space (Mario Party series)|spaces]] in the [[Mario Party (series)|''Mario Party'' series]]. When a player lands on a Red Space, they will lose [[coin]]s (three to nine, depending on the game and the specific circumstances). In ''[[Mario Party 7]]'' and ''[[Mario Party 8]]'', a [[Bonus Star]] may be awarded to the player who lands on the most Red Spaces. Also, like with all of the other spaces in ''Mario Party 8'', the shape is different on each [[board (Mario Party series)|board]], including the tutorial. In ''[[Mario Party 9]]'', Red Spaces have been replaced by [[Mini Ztar Space]]s. Red Spaces reappear in ''[[Mario Party: Island Tour]]'', where they are known as '''Danger Spaces''' and appear 12 times only in [[Banzai Bill's Mad Mountain]]. These spaces may hurt the chance of advancing, as they are crossed by a [[Bomber Bill|Banzai Bill]] when it is launched.
