Re-Koils, also spelled Rekoils, are enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. These orange Kremlings have a springy tail. They always stick their tongue out and have their eyes point in opposite directions. Re-Koils have four fingers and three toes, and they are one of the few Kremlings with claws on their hands. They have a yellow belly, and the front of their tail is also yellow. They are the successors to jumping Kritters from Donkey Kong Country and Kaboings from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, though Re-Koils may have taken inspiration from wikipedia, a character from wikipedia who is similarly orange and uses his tail as a spring.

History
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
Re-Koils first appear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. They bounce on their tail continuously, usually bounce either in one spot or back and forth, though starting in Krack Shot Kroc, some bounce continuously in one direction. Some Re-Koils bounce on their tail without getting off the ground. If a Re-Koil lands on Dixie Kong or Kiddy Kong, that Kong gets injured. The Kongs can defeat a Re-Koil by either rolling into it just before it lands, jumping onto it, or hitting the Re-Koil with a barrel. Re-Koils give the same sound effect from being defeated as Krooks, Klingers, and Kloaks, although not in the Game Boy Advance version. Due to their high-bouncing ability, the Kongs can sometimes use Re-Koils to reach higher areas or out-of-reach items. A photograph of a Re-Koil appears in Dixie Kong's Photo Album, in which it is classified as part of the Kremling Kreeps.

Donkey Kong Land III
Re-Koils (Rekoils in Donkey Kong Land III) are members of the Kremling Krew, and are common enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, along with Donkey Kong Land III. Re-Koils are orange Kremlings with yellow bellies and wear no form of clothing.
Rekoils appear in Donkey Kong Land III with the same role as before. They are first encountered in Total Rekoil, as the titular feature and enemy. In Donkey Kong GB: Dinky Kong & Dixie Kong, Rekoils are colored yellow.

Unused appearances
Re-Koils usually try to attack the Kongs by bouncing on their tails and trying to land on them, although some Re-Koils will only bounce up and down in one spot. Since defeating them with a jump requires a good timing, it is actually easier to attack them with a cartwheel when they land on the ground. Re-Koils replace the jumping Kritters from Donkey Kong Country and the Kaboings from Donkey Kong Country 2. According to the game's credits, Re-Koils belong to the "Kremling Kreeps" enemy class.

An unused model of a Re-Koil exists within the kiosk demo of Donkey Kong 64. Its intended purpose is unclear.

*Re-Koils were originally the only Kremlings with claws on their fingers.
*Re-Koils may have been inspired by Tigger, from the Winnie the Pooh franchise, as both of them use their tail as a spring. However, Re-Koils lack stripes.
*Re-Koils were originally going to appear in Donkey Kong 64, as they have an unused model.
