The Rabbit can first be raced after Lanky Kong wakes him using Trombone Tremor. The Rabbit wishes to race Lanky since he heard Lanky is a fast racer. The Rabbit races Lanky twice. The Rabbit does not give Lanky the Golden Banana if he wins the first race, but instead gives him a "consolation prize" of three blue Banana Coins. The Rabbit is much faster in the second race, so Lanky is required to use Sprint to have a chance at winning. Though the Rabbit cries about losing, he gives the Golden Banana to Lanky. In both races, the Rabbit will instantly defeat the Klump if their paths collide; however, the Rabbit cannot defeat the Kasplat, and his pathway during the race may be blocked by it, slowing him down. Later on, Chunky Kong finds the Rabbit tied to a TNT Barrel in an igloo at Crystal Caves, and the Rabbit can be freed after defeating every flame, earning Chunky another Golden Banana.

He heard from somewhere that Lanky Kong is a fast racer, so he challenges Lanky to a race. Before they can race, Lanky first has to awaken the Rabbit by playing Trombone Tremor.

The Rabbit races Lanky twice. In the first race, when Lanky wins, the Rabbit refuses to give him the Golden Banana. Instead, he tells Lanky to come back and to accept the "consolation prize," which is three blue Banana Coins. In the second race, the Rabbit is much faster, and Lanky's Sprint ability is required to have a chance at winning against the Rabbit, who finally rewards the Golden Banana to him, crying about his loss.

In Crystal Caves, Chunky Kong finds the Rabbit tied to a TNT Barrel in an igloo. He must defeat the flames within the time limit to rescue the Rabbit and receive a Golden Banana.
