Queen B. is a large Zinger and the queen of the species. She is the third boss of Donkey Kong Country, fought at the end of Vine Valley in Bumble B. Rumble. Here, Queen B. tries to sting Donkey or Diddy Kong with her massive stinger. Because she has spikes on her back, Queen B. cannot be stomped. Queen B. can be attacked by having a barrel thrown at her, causing her to turn red and fly around the level. During this phase, Queen B. is invulnerable, and she moves toward the Kongs in a wave-like motion. After a while, Queen B. turns back to yellow, and the Kongs can throw another barrel at her. Each time she is hit, Queen B. begins to move around more quickly until eventually being defeated after five hits.
Queen B. is the queen of the Zingers (and a Zinger herself) appearing in Donkey Kong Country. She is the guardian of Vine Valley and the third boss of the game, appearing in the level Bumble B. Rumble. In battle, Queen B. attempts to stab Donkey or Diddy Kong with her massive stinger. Since she has spikes on her back, Queen B. cannot be stomped. To defeat this large Zinger, Donkey or Diddy must throw Barrels (that regenerate at two specific spots or in the arena's center in the Game Boy Color version) at her. Once hit, Queen B. takes damage, causing her to turn red and go on a rampage. During this phase, Queen B. is invulnerable and the Kong heroes simply have to avoid her attacks as she starts moving towards them in a wave motion. When she has calmed down and reverted to her regular color scheme, Donkey or Diddy must throw another Barrel at her, starting the process over. As the fight progresses, the queen gets faster. After five Barrel hits, Queen B. is defeated.

In the Game Boy Advance version, Queen B., while red, is protected by normal Zingers, which have to be defeated before Queen B. can be attacked. Queen B. always moves in a wavy motion, regardless of her coloration and vulnerability, but she only directly follows after the Kongs while yellow. Additionally, in the dialogue from Cranky Kong after Queen B.'s defeat, he incorrectly uses the pronoun "him" to describe Queen B.
In the Game Boy Advance port of Donkey Kong Country, Queen B., while red, is protected by normal Zingers. These Zingers must be destroyed before Queen B. can be attacked again. Also, she always moves in a wavy motion, regardless of her coloration and vulnerability, though she only homes into the Kongs while yellow. Her arena has only one barrel at a time, which falls from above in a random location, unlike the two respawning barrels in the original version.

A similar boss appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, King Zing, who is the king of the Zingers.
