The player controls [[Pyoro]] using the [[Wii#Wii Remote|Wii Remote]]. The player must aim with the pointer to move Pyoro around the screen and press either {{button|wii|A}} or {{button|wii|B}} to launch his beak to grab enemies and items. Most enemies are worth 10 points, but if Pyoro grabs a whole swarm of enemies with his beak, a green pear will appear, which is worth 100 points when eaten. If a swarm which Pyoro ate was flashing, either a blue, orange or red apple will appear. The blue apple makes Pyoro extend his tongue which is longer than his beak, the orange apple creates two small Pyoros for multiple attacks, and the red apple gives Pyoro a flower barrier which absorbs enemies, causing him to grow in size and become gold once he reaches his maximum size. Once Pyoro is back to his normal size, the flower barrier disappears.

If any enemies touch Pyoro's shield, Pyoro will become bigger, and once he is back to his normal size, the shield breaks.
